The police say they are investigating the murder of Clive Cornelius, 23 years of Imbaimadai, which occurred at about 0840h. today at Imbaimadai.
Police say that investigations revealed that Cornelius and another man had an altercation during which he was assaulted about his body with a piece of wood. He was pronounced DOA at the Imbaimadai Health Centre.
The suspect has been arrested and is in police custody assisting with the investigations.
The murder is the latest in a series in the mining areas.
