The party also worked to develop a plan and programme to consolidate on the gains made at the 2011 General and Regional Elections, a press release from the party stated.

In addition, the AFC said that it is excited that “significant financial support to advance its programme over the next two years has been assured.”

Party activists from all ten administrative regions of Guyana and including representatives from the Diaspora of North America were present and contributed to an aggressive plan of action that will see the AFC mobilizing across the country.

Coming out of the strategy meeting, the party said it is “more united, organized and ready to discharge its mandate in the service of the people of Guyana.”

The party said also it recognizes that the current dispensation in the  Parliament will bring benefits to the people as more checks and balances are possible under the prevailing system.
