Accused phone thief on $30,000 bail

Paul Lewis was yesterday placed on $30,000 bail after being charged with stealing a cell phone.

Lewis, of 55 North Ruimveldt, was accused of stealing a RAZR cell phone, belonging to Clavern Liverpool, when he appeared before acting Chief Magistrate Priya Sewnarine-Beharry at the Georgetown Magistrates’ Court.

It is alleged that Lewis, in the vicinity of Robb Street, Lacytown, stole the phone, valued $30,000.

Lewis was put on bail and the matter would be called at Court Ten on March 14
