Police shoot wanted man after attacked with knife

Police said they had to resort to the use of force on Friday evening when they conducted a search in a house and were attacked with a knife by Randy Morris resulting in him being grazed by a bullet.

The police in a press release stated that about 11:30 pm on Friday, ranks acting on information went to a house at Quamina Street, Georgetown in search of Morris who is wanted for questioning in relation to a series of armed robberies and was attacked by him with a knife causing one of the ranks to discharge a round grazing his abdomen. He was subsequently taken to the Georgetown Public Hospital where he was treated and sent away.
