Police seeking woman over murder two years ago

Almost two years after the murder of Latisha ‘Samantha’ Rodrigues the Police yesterday issued a wanted bulletin for the accused, Lexie Abiola Abigail Richardson.

Police in a press release said that 26-year-old Richardson who was last known to be living at Lot 64 Cross Street, Werk-en-Rust, Georgetown is wanted for questioning in relation to the murder of Rodrigues on September 26, 2010.

Anyone with information that might lead to the arrest of Richardson is asked to contact the police on telephone numbers: 226-1326, 225-2227, 225-8196, 226-7065, 225-6411, 911 or the nearest police station.

Thirty-one-year old Rodrigues, a Stabroek Market vendor of Lot 80 Breda Street, Georgetown was reportedly stabbed once in the vicinity of her chest.

The incident occurred sometime after 7pm on September 26, 2010. She was subsequently pronounced dead at the Georgetown Public Hospital (GPH).

It is alleged that on the night of the incident Richardson sent a male friend to start an argument with Rodrigues.

It was while Rodrigues’ attention had been focused on the argument with the man that the woman had allegedly launched her attack stabbing her once to the chest.
