The Railway View Parent Committee (RVPC) on the West Coast of Demerara has won the Rotary Club of Georgetown’s coveted Vocational Service Award for its literacy project.
A press release from Perception Public Relations said that the project is community-based and caters for children and adults living in the former squatting area at Railway View, Meten-Meer-Zorg, West Coast Demerara and was founded in 2010.
