(Barbados Nation) A former Coast Guard member has been taken into custody after drugs were found off Carlisle Bay, St Michael early this morning.
The Coast Guard official is one of two men in custody after the operation which netted 1 000 pounds of cannabis which were concealed in 20 polythene bags. According to a release from the police, one taped package was also seized, along with a boat.
The operation, which took place around 1:15 a.m was conducted by the Police Drug Squad, and assisted by the Barbados Coast Guard and a section of the RSS, 12 miles at sea off Carlisle Bay, St. Michael.
