Chinese kidnap victim released unharmed in T&T

(Trinidad Express) Kenneth Lu, who was kidnapped on Saturday in Claxton Bay, showed up at the Piarco Police Station unhurt later that night.

Lu went to the station around midnight on Saturday after he was taken away by three men in Claxton Bay. The $200,000 ransom that was demanded was not paid.

Police reported that around 10 a.m. Lu was parked near to the Claxton Bay overpass and speaking on his cellular phone when he was taken.

It was reported that the men jumped into the silver Mitsubishi Lancer car Lu was driving, forced him into the backseat and sped off.

Officers from the Couva Police Station and the Anti- Kidnapping Squad spent most of the day on Saturday searching for him.
