Smalta kite contest winners receive awards

The Ansa McAl beverage company yesterday presented prizes to the three persons that were judged winners of the annual Smalta Kite Flying competition.

Alex Persaud (Most Creative Kite in Georgetown), Andrew Ramphaul (Largest Kite for Georgetown) and Noel Moraglia (Most Creative Kite) were awarded at a simple ceremony at the company’s office at Beterverwagting, East Coast Demerara.

Moraglia’s kite was judged at Joe Vieira Park on the West Bank Demerara. Each winner received a case of Smalta and US$100.

The kite flying competition is an annual feature organised by Ansa McAl during the Easter Season.
