St Vincent Prime Minister Dr Ralph Gonsalves was treated for an abscess at a hospital in Barbados over the weekend, Foreign Affairs Minister Douglas Slater announced today, according to CMC.
Gonsalves, who fell ill last Wednesday as he was preparing for official trips to Kuwait and Qatar, was forced to seek medical attention in Barbados, after his condition worsened.
“The doctors suggested that he should discontinue his trip and take some rest during which they will do more detailed investigations,” Slater said in the statement.
