The police say that at about 1915h yesterday, mechanic Sasenarine Persaud called “Suraj”, 17 years of No. 70 Village, Corentyne, intervened in an argument between his step-father and some men, during which he was assaulted and chopped to his body. Persaud was taken to the Skeldon Hospital where he was pounced DOA, police said.
A suspect who was subsequently found with injuries is presently under guard at the New Amsterdam Hospital, the police say.
