Potaro knife-point robbery accused remanded

Dellon Johnson was yesterday remanded to prison when he appeared before Magistrate Hazel Octive-Hamilton at the Georgetown Magistrates’ Court on a charge of robbery under arms allegedly committed at Potaro.

It was alleged that Johnson on April 22, at 111 Miles Potaro, being armed with a knife, robbed Jose Nascimento of one Nokia cell phone valued $9,000 and $60,000 in cash.

The question was raised about the correct address of Johnson and so the magistrate decided to have him remanded pending his hearing at Mahdia Magistrate’s Court on July 18.
