Linden man gets three years jail for series of charges

Magistrate Faith McGusty sentenced a 25-year-old Victory Valley man on Thursday to three years jail after he was found guilty of robbery under arms and break and enter and larceny when he appeared in the Christianburg Magistrate’s Court.

According to the facts of the case Kacey Adams on Sunday, March 4, 2012 while being armed with a cutlass robbed Allan Ramsarran of one Avis bag valued $5,000, one cellular phone valued $100,000, one Panasonic video camera valued $140,000, one Apple Ipod valued $80,000, one pair of sunglasses valued $9,000, one trowel valued $22,000 and one wallet valued $10,000, all totalling $366,000.

In addition, on May 7, 2012, Adams, being armed with a gun at One Mile Wismar, Linden robbed Basil Antigua of $375,000, two ounces of gold valued $665,000 and one Nokia cellular phone valued $7,000. In addition the man robbed Victoria Antigua of one gold ring valued $60,000, $21,000, US$450 and Nokia cellular phone valued $7,000. Adams was also accused of breaking and entering the dwelling home of Varena Samuels on May 12, 2012 where he stole one television set valued $40,000.

The sentences will run concurrently.
