Reggae Boyz beat Guyana 1-nil

(Go-Jamaica) Jamaica’s Reggae Boyz defeated Guyana 1-nil in their international friendly at the Catherine Hall Stadium in Montego Bay, St James tonight to secure their fourth straight victory for the year.

Centre forward Jeremie Lynch scored on his debut in the second half to hand Jamaica the victory.

Watford Football Club defenders Nyron Nosworthy and Adrian Mariappa also made their debut for the Reggae Boyz.

Both Jamaica and Guyana are preparing for the upcoming World Cup qualifiers.

Jamaica, drawn alongside Guatemala, USA and Antigua and Barbuda, will play Guatemala at home in their first World Cup qualifier on June 8.

Guyana who are drawn alongside Mexico, El Salvador and Costa Rica, will kick off their qualifying campaign against Mexico away, also on June 8.
