The police say that Seetal Samaroo age 38 years, of Lot 279 No.2 Village, East Canje, Berbice was today arraigned before Magistrate Adela Nagamootoo at New Amsterdam Magistrates’ Court for murder committed on Karamchand Pancho called ‘Guru’ age 71 years, of Nigg Settlement, Corentyne, Berbice on May 14, 2012.
He was not required to plead and will have to return to the New Amsterdam Magistrates’ Court on June 25, 2012, police said.
Pancho called ‘Guru’ was found dead on a poultry farm at No.19 Village, Corentyne, Berbice.
Cause of death was given as ‘Fractured skull compounded with multiple injuries’.
