Bids tendered for new GPHC mortuary refrigerator, Mahaica concrete walls

A new refrigerator for the Georgetown Public Hospital (GPHC) mortuary was among those tenders for which bids were opened at the National Procurement and Tender Administration Board on Tuesday. Orkon Construction tendered a bid for $22 million and International Pharmaceutical Agency (IPA) for $21, 650,000. The highest bid was tendered by Total Solutions.

In addition to the tender for the mortuary refrigerator, bids were also opened for the supply and installation of a washer and dryer for the GHPC’s laundry department and the provision of attendant, floor care and janitorial services. For the first, Hardware Depot submitted a bid for $51,805,637; IPA, $43,700,000; General Marine Company, $36,649,000; Orkon Construction, $30M and Total Solutions, $27M.

For the provision of floor care and janitorial services, Universal Janitorial Services submitted a bid for $69,378,792; Mr. Clean Services, $56,734,440 and W.W. and R Extreme Janitorial Services submitted their bid as per month at $2,669,423. For the provision of attendant services, Universal Janitorial Services bid $24,518,672 and Mr Clean Services, $18,800,000.

Bids were also opened for a series of infrastructural works in Regions 2,3,4,5 and 6 under the auspices of the Ministry of Public Works. For the supply of gabion stone in regions Two to Six, BK International bid $58 million and Toolsie Persaud Quarries, $32.4 million. The engineer’s estimate was listed as $38,735,000.

For the rehabilitation of concrete walls at Mosquito Hall/Lancaster, Mahaica, East Coast Demerara, Yuris Civil Building and Construction bid $19,957,508; F&E Construc-tion, $14,811,500; H Nauth and Sons, $32, 030, 000; KB&B Contractors $16,353,500; Toolsie Persaud Quarries, $23,783,750; Colin Talbot Construction, $17,631,500; Hemraj Gar-baran Construction, $29,489,-905; Rajnauth Mahendra-nauth, $23,900,000 and Pacific Service Systems, $16,365,000. The engineer’s estimate was given as $18,382,500.

For the construction of a greenheart revetment at Fort Ordnance, Canje River,  Memorex Enterprise submitted a bid of $15, 507, 690; Yunis Civil Building and Construction, $20,957,600; Roopan Ramotar, $25,170,880; KB&B Con-tractors $27,033,900; S Lorrick, $22,996,900; K.P Jagroop and Contractors, $28,995,000; Ramcharitar, $21, 865, 700; E&F General Contractor Inc, $21,582,400;  H Nauth and Sons, $40,070,800 and Imran Khan Construction Services, $21,485,400.

The engineer’s estimate was pegged at $24,731,700. Ten bids were submitted for the construction of  revetment at Arthurville, Wakenaam Island, Region Three. The bidders are Jaimoon Hussein Civil Engineering and Contracting Services, $12,995,000; R. Maraj, $13,490,500; Deodat Singh, $12,141,500; Roopan Ramotar, $12,440,000; KB&B Contractors, $12,660,000; S Khan Construction and Trans-portation Services, $11,528,500; Puran Maniram, $14,866,500; M Sukhai Contracting Services, $12,967,200; Pacific Service Systems, $14,760,400 and Mohamed R.A Ali Contracting Services with $15,170,800. The engineer’s estimate was given as $13,214,000.
Bids for works under the Region Two Regional Democratic Council were also opened.

Three bids were entered for the upgrading of Main Street in the village Somerset and Berks. They were from Puran Brothers, $10,006,450; Sattaur Mohammed and Sons Construction, $9,888,240 and Vish Turbo Contracting Services, $11,244,990. The engineer’s estimate was $11,780,997.

Upgrading works will also be done in Ramesh Street, La Belle Alliance on the Essequibo Coast. Four bids were tendered for these works: Puran Man Man General Contracting Services, $14,730,720; Sattaur Mohamed and Sons, $16, 328, 645; Mohamed Ali, $15,220,000 and Vish Turbo Contracting and Trans-portation Service, $15,890,385. The engineer’s estimate was pegged at $16,850,660.
