Bailey said that the girl’s father told her that she came home from school after half a day and subsequently left the home.

The woman contnued that “she come home after 4 o clock the same day in her school uniform so I ask her to take off the uniform cause she does not go to school when she left to go, and I said I gone burn you uniform cause you aint want go school.”

The visibly distraught Bailey said that the girl then ran out of the house and entered a Sophia bus after she spoke to her about her schooling.

She never heard from her again, the woman said, until yesterday when she went to make a missing person‘s report at a television station.

She said that her daughter called her on a private number immediately after she made the report and told her not to put the report on the television and that she would return home. She also informed her that she is with a friend named Niaomi in Berbice. The woman said she believed her daughter and subsequently withdrew the missing report she had already paid for.

However, the mother said, she still did not come home. She said that this is the first time her daughter had run away from home, and that she has a lot of male friends whom she does not know very well.

She was last seen wearing a pair of short blue denim pants and a jersey. A missing person‘s report was also made to the Turkeyen Police Station.
