Two Venezuelans injured in northwest boat explosion succumb

Two of the four Venezuelan men injured after their boat exploded at a fuel depot at Morawhanna, Northwest on Sunday, succumbed this morning at the Georgetown Hospital.

A release from the hospital today said that those who succumbed were the  51 year old, who received 45% burns and was admitted to the Burn Care Unit and the 46 year old, who received 75% burns and was admitted to the Burn Care Unit.

The 56 year old, who received 40% burns and was admitted to the High Dependency Unit, and the 55 year old, who received 32% burns and was admitted to the Male Surgical Ward, remain patients of those wards.

Their conditions are listed as stable, the hospital said.
