Digicel today announced the launch of its service in one of Guyana’s main mining hubs – Omai, in Region Seven.
A press release said that the launch of mobile communications coverage in Omai, brings Digicel’s coverage in the populated communities of Region Seven to over seventy percent.
Digicel Guyana’s Chief Executive Officer, Gregory Dean, said in the press release that “Digicel is committed to the creation of important communication links in Guyana’s interior communities, which contribute to the overall growth and development of the country. We are also very pleased to be the first company to launch mobile service in Omai.”
