The Anna Catherina Islamic Complex (ACIC) and the Guyana United Sadr Islamic Anjuman are inviting the public to classes for the teaching of Urdu and qaseedas.
According to a press release, classes will be conducted monthly by Hadji Hafiz Sarafat Ally of Suriname and his wife. The first set of classes will be held at the ACIC, followed by other venues countrywide. Classes are open to both males and females.
Ally was in Guyana last weekend to finalise all arrangements with officials. He also expressed willingness to teach persons recitation and memorization of the Quran. For more information the public is invited to call telephone numbers 276-0030, 628-4179 or 226-9620.
