Police say that at about 1420h today, the body of Rohanie Tagwattie, 22 years of Anna Regina Housing Scheme, Essequibo Coast, was found in a canal in the backlands of Riverstown, Essequibo, while the body of Rabinandan Radahar, 23 years of Riverstown was found hanging from a tree.
Police say that Radahar and Tagwattie had shared a common-law relationship which ended about six months ago. It is suspected that Radahar killed Tagwattie and then committed suicide, police said.
