Dwayne Bravo injured after crashing sports car

(Trinidad Express) West Indies and national cricketer Dwayne Bravo was injured in a car crash on the Uriah Butler Highway, near Chaguanas, yesterday afternoon.
The collision happened in the vicinity of contractors Seereeram Brothers, not far from the site where West Indies cricketer Runako Morton was killed in a crash earlier this year.
Police were told that at around 1.30 p.m., Bravo was at the wheel of his white Jaguar sports car when there was an accident which involved two other vehicles. No one was injured in the other vehicles, police said.
Bravo’s front-seat passenger, a male, also escaped injury.
However, Bravo, 29, of Santa Cruz, is reported to have suffered injuries to both hands and was treated at the Chaguanas Health Facility and discharged.
The crash happened on the highway’s northbound lane.
Constable Alicia Joseph of the Chaguanas Traffic Branch is investigating the cause of the crash.
Morton, a Nevisian who lived in Princes Town, died in March when he lost control of the car he was driving along the highway. His vehicle struck a utility pole near the Chase Village overpass.
