Former Commissioner of Police Laurie Lewis passed away today at his Bachelor’s Adventure, East Coast Demerara home. He was 70.
Lewis had been ailing in recent months and had been hospitalised at the Georgetown Hospital for a brief period in May this year.
His death was confirmed today by acting Police Commissioner Leroy Brumell.
Lewis served as Commissioner of Police between 1990 and 2001.
