Miner on bail over Kumaka break and enter robbery

A young miner was yesterday accused of stealing clothing in an alleged break-in at Kumaka Waterfront, in the North West District.
Eon Richardson-Archer, 20, was admitted to bail in the sum of $150,000 by Magistrate Hazel Octive-Hamilton, who read him the indictable break and enter and robbery charge at the Georgetown Magistrates’ Court.

It is alleged that between August 4 and 6, he broke and entered the business premises of Lolita Wong and stole a quantity of clothing valued $320,000.

The man, of Tuschen East Bank Essequibo, was not required to enter a plea to the indictable charge but he requested bail, to which there was no objection.

No details of what transpired on the day in question were presented to the court.

The matter will be called again on September 27, at Georgetown the Magistrates’ Court One for reports and fixtures.
