Mass Casualty Exercise at Ogle International Airport today

Ogle International Airport will be conducting a Mass Casualty Exercise at 1:30pm today as part of its certification drills for the airport, a press release from Public Communications Consultants Limited said.

This exercise will test the response and capabilities of multiple agencies that would respond to an incident at Ogle Airport, as well as the management of a disaster by staff at the airport.

The drill should be completed by 3:00pm.

People should expect to see an increased number of ambulances and other emergency vehicles on the road in the vicinity of Ogle Airport and area hospitals during this time.

Meanwhile, the airport was scheduled to conduct a Live Fire Training Exercise last night, also as part of their certification drills. That exercise was a test of the capabilities of  Guyana Fire Service personnel from the Ogle Airport and Campbellville Fire Stations, as well as the response from security personnel from the airport.
