The ranks performed a search on Rose in the inquiry office and discovered in his crotch five silver parcels, four of which contained a whitish substance suspected to be cocaine, and the other containing leaves and stems suspected to be marijuana.

When given the opportunity to speak, Rose, who said that he would normally walk and pick up bottles and garbage, admitted that he used the substances found on him.

He was sentenced to three years imprisonment for the possession of narcotics, and he was fined $3,000 together with six months probation for the cannabis charge.
