Defence questions father of accused in Linden coal pit murder

Clement Green, the father of murder accused, Odinga Green, was yesterday questioned by the defence, when the trial continued in the High Court before Justice Franklyn Holder.

The prosecution, which is represented by Judith Gildharie-Mursalin and Diana Kowlessar, presented Clement Green as a witness in the case, but they declined to examine him when he was called to the witness box.

Defence counsel, Nigel Hughes, took the opportunity to question his client’s father before proceeding to cross-examine the two police witnesses who testified in yesterday’s session.

Green is accused of murdering, Nasleen Mohamed, between February 2 and 12 2007. Mohamed, who was missing for a few weeks, was later found in a coal pit at the back of the Wisroc Housing Scheme, in Linden.
The case will continue today.
