Six schools competing in second round of GBTI impromptu speech contest

GBTI said that on October 30, Covent Garden Secondary School outdid Christ Church Secondary on the topic ‘How I would promote tourism in Guyana.’ Saleema Hakh was named Best Speaker, based on her presentation.

On October 31, St Stanislaus College triumphed over Cummings Lodge Secondary on the topic ‘Tattoos and body piercing should be prohibited.’ Daryll Goodchild was named Best Speaker.

Meanwhile, last Thursday St Rose’s High won its match against the Diamond Secondary School.

Saif Panday was named the Best Speaker based on his presentation on the topic ‘If I want to impress someone I would tell them about my….’

Queen’s College, Mae’s High School, St Stanislaus College, St Rose’s High, St Joseph and Annandale Secondary are currently competing in the second round of competition, the bank said.
