Husband charged with killing Cummings Lodge woman

Paul Singh was today charged with killing his wife, Indranie Sugrim, who was knifed to death on Sunday.

Singh was remanded to prison after he appeared before Magistrate Alex Moore, at the Sparendaam Magistrate’s Court on a murder charge.

Singh was not required to plead to the capital charge, which stated that on November 25, he murdered Sugrim at their Lot 502 Ninth Field, Cummings Lodge, Block ‘Y’ home.

Magistrate Moore remanded Singh to prison and the case was adjourned until January 3, for reports and fixtures.

Sugrim, 40, and Singh had shared an on and off relationship for the past five years.
