Police say that at about 1630h yesterday, police ranks stopped and searched a mini-bus at the check-point at Mabura, during which a bag containing 924 grammes of marijuana was found.
Also at about 1715h yesterday police ranks conducted a search on a boat at Bartica, which had arrived from Parika, and found a bag with 457 grammes of marijuana.
Several persons have been arrested in both matters, which are under investigation by the police.
