Moraikobe woman suspected to have been raped, murdered

The family of Allinva Andrews, 46, the Moraikobe, Mahaicony River, whose decomposing body was found last Friday, suspect that she may have been sexually assaulted and then murdered.

Although persons were taken in for questioning by police, they were later released.

According to Andrews’ sister-in-law, Mearl Adrian, the body was found sometime around 9am in a clump of bushes by her son, Orton Richards. By that time, Andrews had been missing for five days.

Adrian said that Andrews’ body bore marks of violence and there was a piece of stick jutting out of her vagina. Her clothes were found beside her body.

The woman said Andrews’ family wants justice for what was done to her.

Andrews was laid to rest on Friday, after her body was found.
