The Police Service Commission (PSC) has announced a long list of promotions within the Guyana Police Force; among them are four appointments to Assistant Police Commissioner.
Former Senior Superintendents Eric Bassant (second in charge of B Division); Winston Cosbert (A Division); Commander of D Division Christopher Griffith and Traffic Chief Brian Joseph are now assistant commissioners.
Dozens of ranks were also appointed to the post of senior superintendant, deputy superintendent; assistant superintendent; superintendent; sergeant; inspector, corporal and lance corporal by the acting police commissioner Leroy Brumell with effect from August 24.
