Bulletins issued for contractor, other over Lethem arms cache

Police today said that Ricardo Ignatius Rodrigues c/d “Fatman” and Clive Lloyd King c/d “Bora” are wanted by the police for questioning in relation to the Unlawful Possession of Arms and Ammunition following a big arms find at Lethem.

Anyone with information that may lead to the arrest of Rodrigues c/d “Fatman” and King c/d “Bora” is asked to contact the police on telephone numbers: 226-1333, 225-2722, 772-2087, 225-8196, 225-6411, 911 or the nearest police station.

All information will be treated with strict confidence.

Last Monday, police raided a house at Tabatinga, Lethem and found four automatic rifles along with four magazines and 389 rounds of 7.62×39 calibre ammunition; six M-16 rifles along with two magazines and 74 matching rounds; two shrapnel hand grenades; one Icon VHF radio set; one Icon hand-held radio set; and one roll of camouflage material.

Two persons were then brought by police from Lethem to Georgetown in connection with the find. Benedict Thomas was later charged in connection with the arms find. No charges have yet been brought against the other person, a woman.
