Five US citizens held with cocaine at airport

Five American citizens were early yesterday morning busted at the Cheddi Jagan International Airport, Timehri with cocaine hidden in their crotches as they were preparing to board a New York-bound flight.

They will be placed before the court on Monday.

A source close to the investigation told Stabroek News that the quintet – two men and three women – had the cocaine concealed in condoms. According to the source, the discoveries were made around 5 am as they were undergoing security checks.
According to the source, the five were all subjected to random pat downs which resulted in the cocaine being found.
All five people were booked to travel on a Delta Airlines flight bound for the JFK Airport in New York.
