Crime Chief Seelall Persaud said yesterday that two brothers of the suspect are in police custody.

A post-mortem examination is expected to be performed on Abdool’s remains today.

He added, “He seh he a go a road and he pick up he bicycle and he ride way… but around 8 o’clock time, abie get wan call seh Black Boy fall down pan a road.”

He then attempted to run but fell a short distance away.

The father also said that persons who saw what happened proceeded to run after the attacker, who dropped his bicycle and slippers and made good his escape.

According to Nasir Abdool, the man who stabbed his son attends the same Masjid with his family and persons who witnessed the incident are afraid to come out and speak because they are afraid of being victimized by the suspect’s family.

He also mentioned that the suspect’s mother visited his home yesterday and threatened his family. However, the man said he is putting his trust in the mighty Allah that his son’s killer will face judgment.

The dead man’s family also stated that they would like justice to be done, since the family of the accused is already claiming that he could not have committed the crime since he is in the interior.

Abdool was the second of four children and was described as a quiet person by his family. He leaves to mourn his parents and three brothers.
