At about 1105h yesterday, police say that Shawn Persaud, 45 years, of 94 La Penitence was at Rosana Liquor Bar at Broad and Ketley Streets, Charlestown, when he was attacked by two men, one of whom was armed with a firearm.
Police say that the armed man discharged a round which hit Persaud in his left leg. The perpetrators then relieved him of his motor cycle, one cell phone and $30,000 and escaped.
Persaud has been admitted to the GPHC.
Investigations are in progress.
