Woman dies after being knocked down

An unidentified female died after she was struck down at the corner of Lamaha and Peter Rose streets around 4am yesterday.
The body of the woman is currently at the Georgetown Public Hospital Morgue awaiting identification.

An employee of Herdmanston House which is at the corner of the two streets told Stabroek News that while they heard the impact of the crash they did not venture out to investigate. The staffer said that earlier on Monday evening a destitute woman was in the compound but had left.
