The police say they are investigating a hit-and-run fatal accident that occurred at about 2010h last night on the La Union Public Road, which resulted in the death of pedestrian Bibi Salima Khan, 44 years, of Belle West, Canal No. 2, WBD.
Investigations, police say, revealed that Khan was walking north along the La Union Public Road, when mini bus BKK 766 which was proceeding in the said direction struck her down and drove away.
Khan was taken to the West Demerara Regional Hospital where she was pronounced DOA.
