The police say they are investigating a fatal accident that occurred at about 0910h today on the Good Hope Public Road, ECD, and which resulted in the death of pedestrian Rajdai Beharry, 58years, of no fixed of place of abode.
Police say that investigations revealed that the driver of motor canter GPP 4465 was in the process of overtaking motor car PLL 135 when he struck down Beharry who was walking along the roadway. Beharry was pronounced DOA at the GPHC.
The drivers of the two motor vehicles are in police custody assisting with the investigations.
