95% of School of the Nations Advanced Level students achieved a passing grade of A-E

Examination results for the Cambridge University (UK) International O-Levels (IGCSE), the Advanced Subsidiary and Advanced Level 6th Form have just been released. These examinations were sat at School of Nations in May and June 2012.

One hundred and fifty-nine students wrote a total of 430 exams in sixteen subject areas at the Cambridge Advanced Subsidiary and Advanced Level. 71% of the exams written at the Advanced Subsidiary level and 95% of the exams written at the Advanced Level achieved a passing grade of A-E.  40% of the examinations written at the Advanced Level achieved a grade of A, B or C. There were 100% passes at the Advanced Level in the following subjects: Accounts, Biology, Business, Economics, Law, Mathematics, Physics, Psychology and Sociology.

Amongst the several outstanding achievers at the Advanced Subsidiary and Advanced Level were Krysta Yan: 3 A’s (including two distinctions) and Alicia Bankay: 3 A’s.

In the fifth form the overall pass rate was 91%.  57% of the tests written achieved a grade A, B or C.  One hundred per cent passes were achieved in the following subject areas: Biology, Business Studies, Chemistry, Environmental Management, Spanish and History. In addition, the following subjects received pass rates between 90 – 99%: Commerce, Economics, English Language, Geography, Physics and Sociology. Amongst the outstanding achievers were

Simona Broomes 9 A’s (4 distinctions); and Jia Jun Young 5 A’s (1 distinction), 2B’s.
