I refer to an article captioned `Berbicians still to hear from the Police Complaints Authority on grievances” which appeared in your issue of Wednesday 17th October last.
Please be informed that the Police Complaints Authority of which, I am the Chairman has no office in New Amsterdam, Berbice. The only office of the Police Complaints Authority is at 39, Brickdam, Georgetown (Land Court Building).
The writer obviously is referring to the Police Complaints Department which is housed at Central Police Station, New Amsterdam.
I would suggest that Mr. Charrandas Persaud raise his concerns with Mr. Deryck Josiah, Assistant Commissioner of Police and Commander of “B” Division whose office is at the Central Police Station, New Amsterdam. Mr. Persaud is quite free to contact me should his engagement with Mr. Josiah produce nothing positive.
