Hadi’s World softball cricket tourney set to begin January 22

Hadi’s World Incorported of Regent & Camp Streets, formerly the City Mall, will sponsor the next nationwide softball cricket competition organized and managed by the Guyana Floodlights Softball Cricket Association (GFSCA).

This tournament will be played in three categories simultaneously namely the Male Open 15/15, Female Open 10/10, and Male Over-40 Years old 25/25.

Each category winner will receive $100,000 and a trophy while the runners-up in each category will receive $50,000 and a trophy, a press release from the organisers stated.

Additional awards will see $10,000  and a trophy going to the player of the series in each category while $10,000 and a trophy  will go to the player of the match in each final.

“The GFSCA, which is always committed to finishing its competitions in a timely manner, has fixed the three finals for May 6,” the release stated.

The competition will be put on hold for the first two weeks and last two weeks of the GT&T 10/10 softball tournament.

According to the release, the competition will also be used to choose players or teams for the GFSCA next International Softball Tournament called the “Guyana Softball Cup”, expected to be held later in the year.
