Inter Corporation dominoes to get cracking next month

The Next Level Sports Club’s second annual Inter Corporation dominoes competition is set to get cracking early next month, promoter Lyall Gittens said yesterday.

According to Gittens, the tournament, which runs from February 3-5, is open to all corporations but only bonafide employees will be allowed to participate.

This year, the winning team is set to receive a whopping first prize of $150,000 along with a trophy and nine medals.
Not to be outdone the runners-up will receive $100,000 a trophy and nine medals also.

There are also cash prizes for the next three teams with the third placed finishers receiving $60,000, a trophy and nine medals; the fourth placed team receiving $20,000 and a trophy and the fifth placed team set to receive $10,000 and a pack of dominoes.

Several incentive prizes will be up for grabs with the Most Valuable Player set to receive $3000, a trophy and two weeks free work out at Curtis’s physical fitness programme.

The player sharing the first double love in the competition will receive $3000 and a trophy while the player sharing the first love in the final will receive one week’s supply of a free lunch from Guinness Bar.

The deadline for entries is January 30 and registration will take place at the Guinness Bar, Joseph Pollydore Street, Lodge.
The entrance fee is nine thousand dollars per team.
