All Greys, Saints clash in JFIS second division hockey

All Greys, a team of former national players will do battle with exuberant debutants Saints as play in the John Fernandes Insurance Second division hockey league continues this afternoon at St. Stanislaus ground with two matches.

Both teams will be looking for a win in their opening fixture but All Greys will be depending heavily on their vast experience against the young side.

Reports indicate that Saints will be reinforced with national players Robert Fernandes  Rene Edwards and Devin as well as Hikers first division player Timothy Jonas, all former students of the school.

Also included in the Saints line up will be Yonnick Peters, Leroy Jack and Joel Hunte.

The All Greys side will include Rawle Davson, Azad De Abreu, Brian Asregado, Damon Woodroffe, Allan Fernandes, Ivor Thompson, James Mentore, Triston Gomes, Marcus Fiedtkou, Chris Low and Troy Peters.

The match starts at 14:30 hours and will be followed by last week’s winners Old Fort against Hikers,

Old Fort scored a 2-0 win over Airbenders in their clash last weekend while Hikers edged out Georgetown Cricket Club.

Old Fort will have in their lineup Dexter Wyles, Jason De Santos, Deon Carew and Onasis Fraser, while Hikers team will include Shaquille Assannah, Michael Harding Aroydy Brandford and Marvin Hope.

Bully off is at 16:00 hours.

Two matches will also be played tomorrow at the same venue with GCC coming up against Saints at 14:30 hours while the second game will feature All Greys against Airbenders at 16:00 hours.
