The pair of Narayan Ramdhani and Avinash Ouditt is unbeaten going in to today’s final day of the Guyana Badminton Association (GBA) junior Easter doubles tournament.
The tournament, which commenced on Monday and is being played at the Queen’s College courts, is being contested on a round robin basis, a release from the organizers stated. In the junior boys’ doubles, Ramdhani/Ouditt defeated Anthony Murray/Jonathan Mangra, 21-12, 21-12 while Noel Shewjattan/Cecil Abrams defeated Anthony Murray/Jonathan Mangra, 21-10, 21-13.
Ramdhani/Ouditt then defeated Noel Shewjattan/Cecil Abrams 21-6, 21-13.
In the junior girls’ round robin, Priyanna Ramdhani/Greer Jackson defeated Kara Abrams/Dominique Assing, 21-4, 21-2 while Ambika Ramraj/Varsha Boodram defeated Nadine Jairam/Jea Ramsammy 21-9, 21-8.
Ramdhani/Jackson also defeated Nadine Jairam/Jea Ramsammy 21-7, 21-6 while Jairam /Ramsammy defeated Abrams/Assing 21-18, 21-16.
In other results: Ram raj/Boodram defeated Abrams/Assing, 21-9, 21-13 and Ramdhani/Jackson defeated Ramraj/Boodram, 21-13, 21-11.
The presentation of prizes to the top three finishers will take place at the conclusion of this evening’s matches.
