Shaka Moore of the Essequibo Boxing Gym got the better of Stephan Baldeo of the Rose Hall Jammers boxing gym when the Pepsi/Guyana Amateur Boxing Association (GABA) under-16 tournament got underway Saturday night on the tarmac outside of the National Gymnasium. Moore took the bout 3-0.
Over 60 boxers drawn from nine gyms are participating in the two-night tournament.
The competition was expected to continue last night with 16 more bouts including one exhibition bout.
