HPC to take on Bangladesh A

DHAKA, Bangladesh, CMC – West Indies High Performance Centre will clash with Bangladesh A and the national Academy side on a near month-long tour here in September, the Bangladesh Cricket Board announced  yesterday.

According to the BCB, the HPC side will play two four-day contests, three one-day matches and two Twenty20s in a tour that runs from September 12 to October 6.

The HPC are set to arrive here on September 12 and open their tour with a four-day match against the National Cricket Academy at the Sheikh Abu Naser Stadium from September 16-19.

Three days later, they will clash with Bangladesh A in the second four-day match at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium.

The venue will then host the three one-dayers on September 28, 30 and October 2 between the HPC and Bangladesh A.

After a one-day break, the HPC will play Bangladesh A in back-to-back T20s on October 4 and 5.
Sixteen players are currently involved in the HPC programme which started its latest season on June 1.
Three of the 16 – Andre Fletcher, Johnson Charles and Carlos Brathwaite – have already been capped by senior West Indies.
