Seven teams move on to round three of Courts Pee Wee competition

Seven schools, Tucville, St. Gabriel’s, West Ruimveldt, St. Pius, Enterprise, Marian Academy and St. Margaret’s scored wins yesterday to advance to  the third round of the Courts Pee Wee football competition following play at the Banks DIH ground, Thirst Park.

Tucville defeated Sophia 3-0 Simeon Hackett scoring a hat-trick in the  15th, 17th and 24th minutes while St. Gabriel’s inflicted a 5-0 drubbing on Green Acres.

Teon Forde of St. Gabriel’s was the most goal scorer yesterday with four goals in the 11th, 27th, 39th and 40th minutes. The fifth goal was scored by Raymond Bandhu in the 23rd minute.

Michael Oie and Bryan Singh scored in the 12th and 32nd minutes for West Ruimveldt against F.E. Pollard whose Tiray McCah netted in the sixth minute.

Action in yesterday’s Courts sponsored Pee Wee football tournament at the Banks DIH Limited ground at Thirst Park.

St. Pius defeated St. Sidwell’s by a 4-1 margin with Beveney McGarrell, who netted a hat-trick in the 19th, 30th and 34th  and Marcus Wilson who netted in the 50th minute, the goal scorers.

Samuel Deveonshire scored St. Sidwell’s consolation goal.

Enterprise Primary defeated South Ruimveldt 3-0 with Jermaine Garret scoring for Enterprise in the 18th and 39th minutes while Joshua Hines of South Ruimveldt in the 25th minute scored an own goal.

Marian Academy defeated Ketley Primary by a similar 3-0 margin with  Shemroy Holder and Dominic Roberts scoring in the 5th and 12th minutes while Eestace Paul scored an own goal which gave Marian their third goal while Redeemer Primary and  North Georgetown drew 1-1.

The tournament continues next Saturday at Thirst Park with another eight rounds before moving on to the quarter finals.
