Guyana Model Search (GMS)/Designer Portfolio (DP) was launched last week Friday at an intimate event at Sidewalk Cafe. The much anticipated TV reality show commences tomorrow at 19 hrs and according to the organizers, it promises to be amazing. The launching included a performance by actress/poet Jennifer Thomas and remarks by Minister of Human Services and Social Security Jennifer Webster, CEO Sonia Noel and Creative Director Richard Young before the models and designers were introduced. According to a press release, this year’s sponsors are a mix of the old and new: Digicel, Courts, Scotiabank, Dixie Lee, NCN, Mings Products & Services and Ezee Jet. Representatives of the sponsors were on hand to indicate their commitment. In photo are some of the models.
