Model search on the road this weekend

Guyana Model Search (GMS)/Designers’ Portfolio (DP) hits the streets of Georgetown today and tomorrow with two public events geared at bringing attention to the scourge of domestic violence and other societal issues as well as publicizing the July 1 event at Isika.

Meanwhile, according to a press release, Elite Model casting, which launched the career of local girl Amanda King last year, will also be at Isika on July 1, seeking to do the same for another local girl. Amanda and Nikita Barker had been selected to compete at the regional final in Trinidad and Amanda then went on to represent the Caribbean at the Elite Model Look Finals in Shanghai, China. Amanda is currently in the United States being managed by Elite.
